Revalidation Holiday

What is a Revalidation Holiday?

If you are always too busy to fly, find it hard to meet your minimum licence flying requirements, are coming up to your SEP rating expiry date and could do with a holiday. This is for you!

It is a flying holiday in the USA which at the start has an element of instruction, totally tailored to your needs, to get you back up to speed before you fly in the USA solo and get your SEP rating revalidated for another 2 years.

Revalidation Requirements Reminder
An SEP rating is valid for 2 years.

To stay current and keep your SEP rating you are required to have flown the following in the 12 months preceding the expiry date of your rating:

  • 12 hours flying (6 of which must be PIC).
  • Perform 12 take off and landings.
  • Fly 1 hour with a flight instructor (counts towards your 12 hours).

Within 3 months of your rating expiry date you must fly a proficiency check with an examiner.

The good news is, that one week with us before your rating expires, will revalidate your rating for another 2 years, with your hours requirement met and an instructor sign off.

The other good news is that if you are out of the requirements above we can also renew your rating. See our Renewal Holiday for details.

With our revalidation holiday, not only are you getting those licence requirements ticked off in one go, you are also having a fantastic sunny holiday that can be done with friends and family.

So now you can combine your flying and holiday budget into one, saving a lot of money whilst having a lot of fun.

Dan and friends, did just that, check out his video!
